KCR scales up scathing attack on opposition parties
SURYAPET: Scaling up his scathing attack on the Congress, BRS supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) on Sunday alleged that the Congress party was never protected the interests of Telangana when some of the irrigation projects were constructed during their tenures of their governments in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking at an election campaign public meeting held at Kodad, KCR said that the Congress leaders kept quiet when earlier Congress governments have taken up irrigation projects like doing injustice to Telangana. BRS would protect the state like the armour of Karna.
Stating that the state has been progressing and became number one in per capita income and power consumption, he opined these two parameters were scale for development of any state or country. Referring to the comments of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar during his election campaign for Congress candidates in the state, he sattired that Shiva Kumar, in whose state five hours electricity was being supplying to the farmers, was criticizing BRS government, which was offering 24 hours free power to peasants. The Congress party, which made poll promise of power to farmers in Karnataka, is giving only five hours of power after coming to power. TPCC president Revanth Reddy also made it clear that three hours of power would be sufficient for the farm sector and Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged KCR was wasting power, he asked voters of Kodad to decide themselves to whom they should vote.
Trying to raise the BC concept, he asked the voters of BCs to support the party candidate Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, who hailed from BC caste.
