Minister Malla Reddy encroaches lands in Medchal: Revanth

Hyderabad, Nov.16 (NSS): TPCC president Revanth Reddy today alleged that State minister Ch. Malla Reddy swallowed the tanks and  ponds by buying lands around them in Medchal assembly constituency.

Addressing the Congress Victory public meeting at Jawahar Nagar in Medchal constituency on Thursday, the TPCC chief asked as to how the officials failed to take action against Malla Reddy for swallowing the ponds. He also criticized Malla Reddy for demolishing the huts of the poor in the Medchal  constituency and depriving them of shade. He also alleged that the State  government did not move the dumping yard from Jawahar Nagar even after securing orders for its shifting from the High Court.

Revanth Reddy alleged that Chief Minister KCR and Malla Reddy were looting the State. Stating that KCR has once again given MLA ticket to Malla Reddy, he asked the CM as to how many hundreds of crore he took from the minister for giving the ticket. He alleged that the promise of bringing IT companies to Medchal was trampled upon by the rulers of the State. He said there was a need to find a permanent solution to the Jawahar Nagar dumping yard problem.

Revanth Reddy alleged that the Kaleshwaram project built by KCR at a cost of Rs 1 lakh crore, had collapsed within three years and added that the development of Telangana was stalled  during CM KCR’s rule. He said the condition of the poor was bad and added that there was no way for them to survive with soaring prices of essential commodities.

He said once the Congress comes to power, the six guarantees announced by their leader Sonia Gandhi would be implemented in Telangana. “If the Congress government comes to power, we will help the poor. Under the Mahalaxmi scheme, Rs 2,500 per month will be provided. Farmers will be given 24 hours of free electricity. Indiramma houses will be sanctioned to all the poor. The price of a gas cylinder, which was Rs 400 during the Congress regime, has now gone up to Rs 1,200. When we come to power, we will give Rs 12,000 to everyone who goes for employment guarantee work. Farmers will be given 24-hour free electricity,” he added. (NSS)
